#13 Men's Lacrosse Posts 18-11 Win Over Whittier

Neth Wiedemann scored his first career goal against the Poets.
San Diego, Calif. – The 13th-ranked men’s lacrosse team posted an 18-11 win over Whittier to improve to 3-1 on the season. Junior midfielder Craig Lepiane (West Irondequoit/Monroe) scored a career-high five goals and with one assist for a career-high seven points.
 
Junior attack Matt Nelligan (Pingree School/Rowley, Mass.) scored two goals and handed out a career-high four assists and junior attack Kevin Bush (Arapahoe [Colo.]/East Point, Fla.) tallied two goals and two assists.  Sophomore attack Mike Cintineo (Honeoye Falls-Lima/Honeoye Falls) added two goals and one assist and sophomore defenseman Neth Wiedemann (Episcopal School of Dallas/Dallas, Texas) netted the first goal of his collegiate career.
 
Senior goalie Dennis Butler (Pleasantville/Pleasantville) made 18 saves in recording the win and moved into third on the Bombers' career list with 623, passing Matt Troy's 613 saves from 1995-98. Ithaca won 25-of-32 faceoffs in the win.
 
The Bombers return to action Tuesday when they play McDaniel at 10 p.m. in San Diego, Calif.
